How To Get Out Grass and Mud Stains
As the warm weather returns so does spending time outside! Unfortunately, this also means those pesky summer stains are back. No matter what you are doing outside, whether it be going to the park, playing baseball, or any other outdoor activity, stains are likely to occur. To help you out, we have created a how-to-guide with the best ways to remove two of the most common summer stains, grass and mud.
If these methods do not completely remove the stain take your garment to your local CD One Price location and we will do the rest!
Grass Stains
Step 1: Create a mixture of two parts water to one-part white vinegar and allow the stain to soak for 15 minutes.
Step 2: Use a clean white rag and carefully dab the stain.
Step 3: Wash the stained item using an enzyme-based laundry detergent. The enzymes in the detergent help to break down the proteins and lift the stain from the clothing.
Mud Stains
Step 1: Let the mud dry completely
Step 2: Gently scrape off excess dirt or mud on the garment
Step 3: Rub liquid detergent on the stain and let it sit for 15 minutes. Every 3-5 minutes rub the stain to aid the detergent in loosing remaining debris
Step 4: Apply a stain remover to the area and rub it in before putting your garment in the washer.
Step 5: Wash and dry your garment following the instructions on the tag.
