“Coats for Kids” Launches for 15th Straight Year in CD One Price Cleaners and Infant Welfare Society (IWS) of Chicago Partnership

OAKBROOK, IL — For the 15th consecutive year, CD One Price Cleaners and the Auxiliary of IWS Family Health of Chicago are helping local children stay warm this winter with the launch of the “Coats for Kids” partnership.

“Coats for Kids” is a charitable coat-donation program benefiting underserved children and families of IWS Family Health. The program runs from October 25th to November 7th, 2025.

Many families struggle to get appropriate outerwear for the harsh Chicago winters,” said Jennifer Horan, Co-President of the Auxiliary of IWS Family Health and Coat Drive Co-coordinator, Infant Welfare Auxiliary Board, Lake Forest Chapter. “If we can help lift this burden for them, we are dedicated to doing so. CD One Price Cleaners is so generous to offer to clean these coats to get them ready for distribution in November.”

How it works: CD One Price Cleaners, Chicagoland’s leading dry cleaning and laundry franchise, will collect donated, gently used coats at all 47 locations in Illinois and Indiana, including Chicago city and suburbs. Donated coats will be cleaned at the CD One locations and delivered to IWS Family Health.

“Coats for Kids” donations are never unneeded, as over 12,000 patients a year are served at IWS Family Health, with over 60% of them being children.

WCIU, The U and MeTV-FM are partnering with CD One Price Cleaners to encourage viewers and listeners to drop off coats to their local CD One Price Cleaners.
